Programs I've done
I met
a woman at a photography show in S.F. about 3 years ago. She
owned one of the greatest products that I had ever seen (for
a drummer) in my entire life. A cart called by the unlikely name,
"KART-A-BAG." This simple very well constructed cart
looked as if it could carry a piano, and I'm not talking about
one of these plastic cased synths, I mean a full blown Baby Grand
at least. We talked for the longest time, when she said something
to me that rang a bell. She said, " I want to get in to
the MUSIC industry and I'm not sure exactly how to go about it".
--- I
told her I had an idea or two, and a couple of tricks up my sleeve.
Immediately she said, " if you help me, I'll hire you to
do it. Now, I had a project. Because
I was ENDORSING several great companies at the time, and they
always had to move heavy gear, a "light" went on. I
told her the best way to establish her company almost overnight,
would be by associating her company with some other companies,
that were already known for their great reputation and products.
Unlike most other people who have all these pre-existing rules
to go by, she, to my great surprise, said, "lets do it right
away", and as soon as you can set it up, I'll book a photo-shoot
in L.A.
That was it. The
rest of this story and how BERNARD "PRETTY" PURDIE
and PAT MARTINO got involved will come later, along with, who
those companies were. And WHAT a story it is.
END of part 1 - Please check back later for updates!
